LAFAYETTE – A stellar career both on and off the mound is being recognized on a national scale as Louisiana Baseball's Gunner Leger was named a Senior CLASS Award Finalist, the national organization announced on Wednesday morning.
Leger is one of 10 semifinalists this season and joins Matt Hicks, who earned Senior CLASS Award First-Team All-American Honors in 2014, as the only two Ragin' Cajuns to be named finalists for the nationally-recognized award.
"We are all extremely proud of everything that Gunner has been able to accomplish in his career," head coach Tony Robichaux said.
