MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns golf team opened the first round of The Franklin American Mortgage Intercollegiate at The Grove with a score of 9-over par (297) to finish Sunday in tenth place. The 54-hole event is being played at the par-72, 7,368-yard The Grove Club.
"We played on a very demanding golf course, and at this point its still a very tight field," head coach Theo Sliman said. "Really pleased with the way both of the freshmen performed at the top of the lineup for us. Both of them, minus a couple mishaps, could have had rounds of par or better.
