LAFAYETTE, La. – After getting off to a slow start in the morning round, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns golf team bounced back with a good second round to finish the first day of the 31st Louisiana Classics in eighth place on Monday. The tournament is being hosted at the par-72, 6,898-yard Oakbourne Country Club.
"Certainly not the start that we wanted at home in the first round," head coach Theo Sliman said. "We are not going to dwell on the outcome of that first round. We are going to focus more on the resiliency the team showed in the afternoon.
