NORTHBROOK, Ill. – Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns running back Elijah McGuire was one of 165 student-athletes nominated for the 2016 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team®, in an announcement on Wednesday by Allstate Insurance Company and the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA).
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the award, which was established in 1992 to recognize a select group of college football players who have made a commitment to service and enriching the lives of others.
McGuire, who was named to the Maxwell Award Watch List last week, rushed for a team-high 1,058 yards and 13 touchdowns last season for the Ragin' Cajuns while hauling in 34 passes and three TDs.
