GAINESVILLE, Fla. — No. 1 Florida posted wins of 5-1 and 14-1 in five innings for a doubleheader sweep of No. 5 Louisiana-Lafayette in college softball action on Saturday at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium.
A four-run third inning helped provide the Gators (40-3) with the necessary runs for the winning margin in the opener, and the Gators scored seven runs in the first inning of the second game to spark the win.
Kara Gremillion posted her fifth multiple-hit game with a 2-for-3 performance in the opener, while Aleah Craighton posted her 14th home run of the season in the second game.
