HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns golf team got off to a slow start to open the 2017-18 season finishing the first day of the Sam Hall Intercollegiate in 11th place with a two-round score of 28-over par (596) on Monday at the par-71, 6,902-yard Hattiesburg Country Club.
"Pretty disappointing day and opening of our fall season," head coach Theo Sliman said. "No question the course and conditions played tough yet no excuse for us not bettering ourselves in the afternoon. We had four guys debut as Division I golfers, and it is obvious that we are in need of improvement.
