Cajuns go cold in second half to remain winless on road, fall to Little Rock

The Louisiana-Lafayette men’s basketball team dropped its seventh straight road contest to start the season, as its shooting touch went ice cold late in a 77-57 loss to Little Rock.

Little Rock’s vaunted defense put a cover on the Cajuns basket late. The Cajuns (5-7, 1-2 Sun Belt Conference) made just two of their final 20 field-goal attempts, allowing the Trojans (13-1, 3-0) to run away with the game.

“We’ve got to make shots,” said Cajuns coach Bob Marlin in a postgame radio interview. “The second half, once it got to the seven-minute mark, it went downhill in a hurry.
