As much as assistant coach Gus Hauser will be missed, Louisiana-Lafayette men’s basketball coach Bob Marlin his staff’s transition should be an easy one.
That’s because Marlin created a post for Josten Crow last summer, and now the former small forward who played under Marlin at Sam Houston State is in line to fill the post created by Friday’s announcement of Hauser’s departure.
“He’s got a little bit of everything you look for,” Marlin said Saturday of Crow, who was UL-Lafayette’s director of student-athlete development in the 2015-16 season. “He knows our players, and he has a great rapport with the guys.
