LAFAYETTE — The Louisiana-Lafayette baseball team has made a late addition to its 2016 slate, adding a mid-week road game against Houston May 11.
The game against Houston makes up for the Cajuns’ rained-out home contest against McNeese State April 20, which was not able to be made up because of scheduling conflicts.
The Cougars will make a return trip to M.L. “Tigue” Moore Field in 2017.
“It’s always important when you can get a quality opponent on your schedule,” said coach Tony Robichaux in a statement. “This is a good thing for two reasons. One, it gives us a chance to continue to protect our RPI, and two, it allows us to play another quality opponent in front of our fans next year.
