LAFAYETTE, La. – After falling behind 1-0 in the seventh inning, the sixth-ranked Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns baseball team rallied to defeat Sam Houston State 2-1 in 10 innings at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field on Friday night in the team's 2016 season opener.
"We got a critical play at a critical time in the game," head coach Tony Robichaux said. "You want to end on a good note, especially at home. You want to take care of these good fans, especially when they are out in big, big numbers like they were. You're not going to win every game, but when you have a chance to win a game and your are tied, you want to get that done at home.
