LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns student-athletes from all 16 Division I programs took time out of their schedules last week, expressing their thanks to supporters of the Ragin' Cajuns Athletic Foundation (RCAF) during the first ever RCAF Student-Athlete Thank-A-Thon.
Forty-eight student-athletes combined to spend six hours over a two-day period conducting nearly 1,600 phone calls and writing over 500 "Thank You" notes to RCAF donors.
"Every time you can connect our donors with the end-users of their generosity, the student-athletes, it's a positive thing," RCAF Executive Director Jim Harris said. "It is important for our donors to be thanked for their contributions and the education piece for the student-athletes is just as important so they can see the impact RCAF donations have on their athletic experience.
