LAFAYETTE - The Ragin' Cajuns Athletic Foundation announced today a fundraising campaign for renovations to M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field at Russo Park in the form of a challenge.
The Home Run Challenge is seeking 500 donors of $100 or more by Aug. 15 for the Russo Park Stadium Project. Upon reaching that goal, the campaign will secure an additional $100,000 in challenge gifts from supporters.
"This campaign is about asking people to invest in a stadium that benefits the entire community," said Jim Harris, RCAF executive director.
In addition to the Home Run Challenge, Harris said University officials are meeting with supporters about larger gifts toward the renovation.
