The 2023 NFL season has been littered with questionable officiating calls, or lack of them, made at critical times in a particular game. Fans of the Los Angeles Rams unfortunately know that story all too well as officiating mistakes played a role in the end of their matchups against the Steelers and Ravens.
Murky or otherwise crappy rules have greatly hindered the product on the field across the league this season. More changes are seemingly on the way as according to NFL on CBS analyst Jonathan Jones, the NFL will consider and discuss amending the controversial touchback rule in the offseason.
