Los Angeles Rams fans did not have a huge rookie draft class to track, but the complications with Round 2 rookies holding out to squeeze as much guaranteed money as possible out of NFL teams. But thanks to the San Francisco 49ers' ability to sign DT Alfred Collins, Rams fans had every reason to hope for the impasse to be over, and to finally learn that TE Terrance Ferguson had signed his rookie contract.
This was not consolation prize. The Rams knew what they were doing, and the risks that the team was taking, by trading out of Round 1.
