Yesterday, Cameron DaSilva reported on some public displeasure from former Rams offensive tackle Orlando Pace about the Rams giving rookie offensive guard Tremayne Anchrum the #76, Pace’s old digits.
Pace wore that number through seven Pro Bowls and a Super Bowl victory. He wore it while he became one of the greatest offensive linemen to ever play the game of football. Traditionally, regardless of if the number has been retired by a team or not - as is the case here - usually team’s don’t hand out the numbers of past legends without a second thought.
