Rams will have a new kicker for the playoffs

The have waived kicker Lucas Havrisik according to an announcement by the team. He played nine game for LA this season but made only 15 of his 20 attempts and converted 19 of his 22 point after tries.

The Rams originally signed Havrisik after parting ways with veteran Brett Maher. They cut Maher in what was maybe a knee-jerk reaction to a poor outing against the Pittsburgh Steelers where he missed two field goals from more than 50-yards out and also missed an extra point attempt. These misses could very well have been in the margin of error in a close game, especially considering the controversial placement of the ball towards the end of the game on a Kenny Pickett QB sneak that benefitted Pittsburgh.
