Rams rusher banned four games for substance abuse (AFP)

New York (AFP) - St Louis Rams running back Trey Watts will be suspended for the team's first four 2015 regular-season National Football League games for violating its substance-abuse policy, the league announced Friday.

Under terms of the league and players union agreement, details on specific substances are not revealed.

Watts played in 14 games for the Rams last season and carried the ball seven times for 30 yards as well as making three catches. he also made five tackles on kick return teams.

The 24-year-old US rusher will be allowed to participate in off-season and pre-season workouts and training activities.
