The Los Angeles Rams have gotten off to slow starts over the past two seasons. But a quick look back at the past two seasons quickly identifies the common element. In both 2023 and 2024, the offense had to compete without WR Cooper Kupp in four of the first six games. Kupp’s absence was not the sole contributing factor, but it was certainly a significant one.
The team side-stepped a similar scenario developing this season when they released Kupp and signed free agent WR Davante Adams. He has been more than a lone offensive weapon. He has been generous with his experience and wisdom, making it a point to work with any young player who asks him for help.
