Brian Folkerts will literally be home for the holidays, something that hasn’t been the case since he embarked on his NFL career.
“Christmas morning at my parents house, just like when we were kids and all that,” Folkerts said. “So it’ll be exciting. I haven’t seen my family for Christmas in a couple years. Just being in the NFL, we play into January every year.”
Folkerts, who grew up in north St. Louis County and attended Hazelwood Central High, has spent the last two Christmas weeks working — in Charlotte, N.C., as a member of the Carolina Panthers.
