ST. LOUIS • Gov. Jay Nixon and his stadium task force received a letter from the National Football League on Friday, spelling out deadlines and expectations for hometown stadium proposals.
Similar letters went to efforts in Oakland and San Diego.
They gave the teams until Dec. 30, two days longer than announced at the NFL owners meeting this week, to submit detailed outlines of material terms, sources and uses for project construction, and "identification of the authority necessary to secure public contributions."
Nixon also sent a statement in response:
