Sean McVay initially said Matthew Stafford would miss roughly the first five days of training camp. On Saturday the timeline was extended, as the Los Angeles Rams’ coach said Stafford will now sit out all of next week.
McVay clarified his comments by indicating he misspoke at the start of camp and that Stafford’s status will be considered a “week at a time”.
That’s a turn from when McVay said Stafford would start practicing - previously he said he felt “pretty good” that the QB would only miss the first block of camp.
