Safety Lamarcus Joyner has officially been ruled out for the Rams’ Week 4 matchup against the Cowboys, as he continues to deal with a hamstring issue that has kept him out of practice this week.
Joyner has played a significant role in the secondary this season after transitioning to the free safety position during the offseason. Through three games he has recorded 15 tackles and one interception. Head coach Sean McVay called Joyner “a great competitor,” that is “very versatile,” and someone that will be missed in Sunday’s game.
“The effort, the energy that he plays with snap-in and snap-out, I think that raises the level of play with the guys around him,” he said.
