The LA Rams drafted quarterback Jared Goff as the first overall selection in the 2016 NFL Draft. Less than a year later, Sean McVay was named the Rams’ new head coach in January of 2017. During McVay’s tenure, the Rams have not drafted a quarterback.
Since hiring McVay, the Rams have drafted nearly every other offensive position besides quarterback. The Rams have selected nearly every defensive position, as well. It might be time to let McVay groom the next franchise quarterback, one McVay can call his own.
