The St. Louis Rams and Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis Thanksgiving Distribution has become a holiday tradition in the region over the past two decades. It is a day where families, who are pre-identified by the Urban League, can pick up a free turkey, Thanksgiving trimmings and some holiday cheer from the Rams.
The event is also a symbol of pride for the Rams players who fund the Thanksgiving initiative.
“This event is important to us because it’s good for us to go out and help the families that are less fortunate,” center Tim Barnes said.
