NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -- Burton Elrod is stepping down as a team physician for the Tennessee Titans after 19 years.
The Titans announced Friday that David Moore would be a new team physician. Thomas Byrd, Craig Rutland and also are team physicians for the Titans.
Elrod said in a statement that ''after 20-plus weekends a year and almost 400 NFL games, it's time for a break. I'm leaving the Titans with what I consider the best team doctors, consultants, and trainers in the NFL.'' Elrod added that ''I am going to enjoy watching the Titans win and not having to work the games.
