Perhaps the greatest reward for a veteran who has reached the apex of his NFL career is to mentor a young, inexperienced player to realize his full potential.
For Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Davante Adams, he found much of himself in the form of Pittsburgh Panthers rookie wide receiver Konata Mumpfield, who was selected in Round 7 of last April's draft.
The rookie receiver is not particularly big for his position, standing 5-foot-11 and weighing 186 pounds. But he instantly caught Adams' attention, as he reminded the seasoned veteran of himself when he was just starting in the NFL.
