Jared Goff’s steady improvement under offensive mastermind Sean McVay has cashed him quite the check ahead of his fourth NFL season.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Los Angeles’ brass has signed Goff to a four-year contract extension. After earning a 41.7 passing grade under Jeff Fisher as a rookie in 2016, Goff earned 75.0 and 83.6 passing grades in 2017 and 2018, respectively, with McVay calling the shots.
From PFF’s Steve Palazzolo:
“There’s no doubt that Sean McVay and excellent play-calling have aided Goff’s development, but he deserves credit for improving his game every year in the league.
