The BattleHawks recently were preparing for a Week 6 game, at Tampa Bay, when the coronavirus took over. And the XFL season was shut down.

“It was more surreal than anything else,’’ BattleHawks coach and general manager Jonathan Hayes said a few days after the XFL decided to end its first season in nearly two decades after five games.
