Ezekiel Elliott was born in Alton and went to elementary school there for a couple years, laying the foundation for what became a standout football career. From high school in St. Louis, at John Burroughs, to college, at Ohio State, to the NFL, with Dallas, Elliott has shined.
When he was at OSU, his games often were big draws at the betting windows in Nevada, where sports gambling long has been legal. Wagering interest in Elliott’s team got even bigger when he turned pro.
