If the Los Angeles Rams were looking to make a statement in Week 2 about being one of the top teams to beat in the NFC, they certainly did so with their impressive 27-9 win over the New Orleans Saints.
For months, this rematch of the NFC Championship was expected to be one of the most exciting games of September, mainly because of what took place last January when the Rams arguably benefitted from a controversial play that helped them earn a trip to the Super Bowl.
Yes, there were a few other plays that could have made a difference as well, but New Orleans fans didn’t view it that way, and wanted nothing more than to see their beloved team take down Los Angeles in front of their own fans.
