The Lakers are reportedly confident they can re-sign Alex Caruso because he loves playing with LeBron James

With the way things are trending for the Los Angeles Lakers, their offseason unfortunately may start sooner rather than later, and one of their first orders of business will be to try and negotiate a new contract for Alex Caruso.

Caruso signed a two-year, $5.5 million contract with the Lakers in 2019 after spending the two previous years on a two-way contract. Other teams had interest in signing Caruso — most notably the Golden State Warriors — but he was a restricted free agent, so whether or not he had a future in Los Angeles wasn’t entirely up to him.
