As if this season couldn’t get any more ridiculous, it’s starting to sound as if Carmelo Anthony (at least in part) is having seconds thoughts on joining the Los Angeles Lakers, if you are to believe Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Apparently, fans who did not want to see a(nother) washed up small/power forward who won’t play any defense have the team’s recent slide to thank for avoiding such a scenario:
The Los Angeles Lakers and free agent Carmelo Anthony are pausing talks on a possible contract agreement unless the franchise makes a turn back toward pursuit of Western Conference playoffs contention, league sources told ESPN.
