Recap: Luka Doncic Drops 49 To Lead Lakers To Revenge Victory Over Timberwolves

After dropping their season opener, the Los Angeles Lakers were back in action on Friday night, hosting the Minnesota Timberwolves at Crypto.com Arena.

This, of course, was a rematch of last year’s playoffs when the Lakers were eliminated in five games. They were looking for some revenge on the Timberwolves, and they were able to get it with a 128-110 victory to improve to 1-1 on the season.

The Timberwolves jumped out to a quick 10-4 start, although Luka Doncic scored seven straight points for the Lakers to keep it from getting out of hand early. Minnesota was unconscious from deep though as they immediately responded with another run, forcing JJ Redick to use a timeout with his team trailing 21-13.
