Los Angeles is expected to be announced as the host of the 2018 NBA All-Star Game on Tuesday during a news conference at Staples Center.
NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, Mayor Eric Garcetti and other local leaders will be on hand for a “major announcement,” according to a news release.
Los Angeles has hosted All-Star Weekend three other times, in 2004 and 2011 at Staples Center and in 1963 at the Sports Arena.
During the All-Star festivities last month in Toronto, Los Angeles seemed to be the odds-on favorite to win the right to host in 2018.
