Derek Fisher and Matt Barnes had their careers overlap for a short time while on the Los Angeles Lakers, but the two wouldn’t seem very likely to find common ground in recent years given that Fisher has been dating Barnes’ ex-wife, Gloria Govan.
In fact, the triangle became headline fodder in 2015, when Barnes drove from training camp with the Memphis Grizzlies to attempt to fight Fisher at Govan’s house. It was an incident that earned Barnes a two-game suspension.
Things appeared to get worse last year, when Fisher totaled a car registered to Barnes in an incident that was later deemed a DUI.
