Basketball Hall of Famer Magic Johnson will return to ESPN as analyst for the network's NBA Countdown studio show, ESPN announced Monday.
Johnson, who previously served as an ESPN analyst from 2008-2013, will make his return as part of ABC's Christmas NBA coverage and going forward will be a part of the show's Saturday editions.
Joining Johnson will be ESPN reporter Michael Wilbon, who is also making his return to the show, and host Sage Steele.
"I'm so excited to be working with my ESPN family again on NBA Countdown Saturday nights," Johnson said in a statement released by ESPN.
