For much of the offseason, most Lakers rumors have been about Paul George joining the Los Angeles Lakers. Whether it was via a trade this offseason or a free agent next season, George has been linked to the Lakers.
This offseason, the Lakers were able to move the contract of Timofey Mozgov in order to secure more open cap space for next offseason. Also, the Lakers haven’t been big players in free agency this offseason, as they most they have offered a player is a one-year deal.
After originally stating that he would prefer to play for the Lakers, George has downplayed that recently.
