The Los Angeles Lakers are in a unique situation. They won the 2020 NBA Finals and now have the opportunity to get even better next year. They possess the flexibility and have a few small trade assets.
The team owns their 2020 first-round pick and are eligible to trade it. It will be the last one they can trade until 2027. Although they will be able to draft and trade rights on draft night, mid-season acquisitions for picks are out of the question.
