After making a big splash to start the offseason, the Los Angeles Lakers weren’t expected to big major players in the first round of the NBA Draft.
Due to the trade for Anthony Davis that has been agreed upon, the Lakers sent their 4th overall pick to the New Orleans Pelicans. With a ton of young talent coming back, the Pelicans elected to trade that 4th pick to acquire even more assets.
A lot of credit has to go to David Griffin for getting a lot out of both the Lakers and the Atlanta Hawks in both deals.
