LeBron James listed as probable vs. Magic, Anthony Davis to play

UPDATE: The early prognosis on Monday indicates that LeBron James will play against the Orlando Magic. Anthony Davis, meanwhile, appears nailed on to suit up.

On the team’s injury report pregame, AD was not listed, indicating he is set to play in the game, especially given the league’s new Player Participation Policy. As for LeBron, he is listed on the report but is considered probable.

It should be noted that LeBron is listed with left ankle tendonitis. The aforementioned new participation policy indicates that players must have a legitimate injury to sit out games.

If the Lakers are thinking long-term, they could continue to list LeBron on the report with this injury, which may eventually allow them to rest him.
