Lonzo Ball’s stellar statistical showing in Las Vegas Summer League was more than enough to justify the MVP he won for the event. Ball averaged 16.3 points, 7.7 rebounds and a Las Vegas-leading 9.3 assists to go with 2.5 steals in summer league while being named to the tournament’s first-team as well.
Those numbers are obviously phenomenal, but more impressive than the numerical results of Ball’s play was the way he racked up those numbers. Ball’s combination of heady plays out of pick-and-rolls, lightning-quick and right-on-the-money outlet passes and aggressive scoring was a sight to see all in it’s own.
