Lakers reportedly sign Cam Oliver to Exhibit 10 contract

The Los Angeles Lakers made the latest move to round out their training camp roster on Thursday, signing Cam Oliver to an Exhibit 10 contract, according to Jovan Buha of The Athletic.

Oliver — who went undrafted in 2017 — played in four games for the Houston Rockets last season, averaging 10.8 points and 5.2 rebounds while shooting 19-33 from the field as the team closed out its season before the playoffs. An Exhibit 10 contract is non-guaranteed, and is essentially a training camp invite that allows a player (like Oliver) who is cut by their team to earn a bonus of up to $50,000 if they sign with their previous team’s G League affiliate (in this case, the South Bay Lakers) and stay there for at least 60 days.
