The Los Angeles Lakers were slapped on the wrist for tampering with Paul George Thursday, but they will still be allowed to sign him in free agency next summer should he decide to come home to Southern California.
That’s great news for the Lakers, whose plan has always appeared to be signing George and another max free agent like LeBron James in 2018.
