Lakers Notes: Wizards Trade, Anthony Davis Trade Kicker, Kawhi Leonard

Two days after the 2019 NBA Finals, the Los Angeles Lakers traded Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball, Josh Hart, and multiple draft picks for Anthony Davis.

Since then, much of the attention has been on general manager Rob Pelinka and the Lakers potentially overlooking the timing of the Davis trade on July 6.

With the Lakers only having $23.7 million in cap space, it required two steps to create a max-contract slot of $32.5 million. First, they traded Moritz Wagner, Isaac Bonga, Jemerrio Jones, and a 2022 second round pick to the Washington Wizards.
