The Lakers’ injury bug claimed another victim on Tuesday night.
Starting shooting guard Nick Young suffered a strain to his right Achilles’ tendon in the first quarter against the New Orleans Pelicans. Young made his way to the scorer’s table, then collapsed by it. Two teammates helped him off the court, carrying him for part of the walk, while a third walked behind, with a hand on his back to stabilize him.
Young missed the rest of the game and will have an MRI exam in Chicago on Wednesday.
This is the second injury Young has had in the span of a week.
