Magic Johnson made a shocking decision to resign as Los Angeles Lakers president of basketball operations just before the final game of the 2018-19 NBA season.
The announcement came without warning as Johnson told no one — not even Lakers owner Jeanie Buss, general manager Rob Pelinka, or LeBron James. However, the even more surprising news came in the months following the resignation.
After his time with the Lakers was over, Johnson made the rounds on national TV and he called Pelinka out for ‘back-stabbing’ behavior during their time working together.
