Lakers News: Jared Dudley Reveals 2019-20 NBA Season Could Be Played Into October

With the 2019-20 NBA season hiatus due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) reaching exactly two months now, there is still a lot of uncertainty about resuming it.

As it currently stands, commissioner Adam Silver has allowed teams to reopen their practice facilities now depending on their state and local government orders.

While there are numerous contingency plans in place, it appears Silver does not have to make a decision on the season ‘until some point in June’ right now.

Although the NBA reportedly would like to crown a champion by Labor Day Weekend, Jared Dudley reveals they could play into October now, via Twitter:

Based on this timeline, it appears the NBA is willing to complete this season and the 2020-21 season (and future seasons) will then start on Christmas Day.
