EL SEGUNDO – Metta World Peace was covered in sweat at the conclusion of another Lakers practice, one that some might have thought he would not be invited to attend.
The Lakers waived second-year guard Jabari Brown on Monday, trimming their roster to the league maximum 15 players. The decision meant World Peace, 35, survived preseason cuts and will be on the roster for Wednesday’s regular season opener against Minnesota.
“It’s been interesting,” he said. “The first time I’ve ever been in the situation where I was non-guaranteed and fighting for a spot, but I don’t change as a person.
