Lakers fall back to Earth with loss to Atlanta Hawks, 100-87

For the third time this season, the Lakers were unable to build a winning streak, falling on Friday to the Hawks in Atlanta, 100-87

The Hawks dominated the first half, leading by as many as 19 points. The Lakers responded with a strong third quarter, out-scoring Atlanta 30-20. With exactly six minutes left in the game, former Hawks guard Lou Williams hit a three-pointer to get the Lakers within four points.

The final minutes, however, were a disaster for the Lakers. The Hawks hit shot after shot and forced turnovers, closing out with a 13-point win.
