Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O'Neal share fond Lakers memories in podcast released Monday

Kobe Bryant, left, and Shaquille O'Neal had plenty of good times together with the Lakers.

Early on in his much anticipated appearance on a podcast with former teammate and rival Shaquille O'Neal, Kobe Bryant said he is not one for nostalgia.

Before long, however, the Lakers superstar who will soon begin his 20th NBA season, displayed an appreciation, even fondness, for the eight seasons together the two played together.

Rather than focus on the reasons for O'Neal's premature split from the Lakers in 2004, Bryant said it was a wonder they coexisted at all.
